The Art of Marquetry

Marquetry is a traditional veneer style.

It involves cutting and assembling small pieces of different texture and color from veneer, copper, bronze or other special materials from which elaborate designs arise.

It finds use in all wooden surfaces mainly in furniture (dining rooms, buffets, etc.), interior doors, kitchen’s doors and wardrobe as well as special constructions such as wooden fireplaces and stairs, wall coverings, paintings and instruments without any design restriction and size.

The peculiarity of Marquetry’s art lies in its proper initial design and its final implementation in a hand-made way.

Initially, the design is created in a way that can be broken down into small pieces. The choice of colors is made for each piece from which the pattern is made, either from varnished veneers or natural wood colors or the materials selected.

This is followed by the hand-cut cut of the veneers or materials according to the drawing, then the joining of the pieces is made in such a way as to create the required pattern.

The thickness of the creation is usually 0.6mm. Then it gets stuck with special treatment to the wooden surface and becomes one with it.

Since 1964, we create relationships of trust.
